VINTAGE - "RARE" SPINMASTER GOLD ANODIZED SPINNING REEL

Large gold anodized "Spinmaster", custom made salt water big game spinning reel. These reels were hand made in Miami Florida during the late 1960's There were only about 300 of them made. They were embossed with the anglers name, and were bought primarily by the rich and famous, and were compatible with the new gold anodized reels being made by Fin Nor and Penn International at the time. They were too heavy and cumbersome, and therefore did not fish well. The manufacturer stopped making them due to poor demand. The professional Captains and Mates detested them. This reel has the anglers name embossed, and has some scuffs due to use. Otherwise, it is in good condition.
